I hate to see other people having trouble with this, because it's been great for me. There's not a lot to it, but that's alright - I have more complex plugins when I need them. This has been my go to for a while, though. Just a simple way to add some power to a big moment in a song.

Love this plugin.. however it no longer works on Mac (Ventura).. even when I run Ableton in Rosetta.. Any plans on updating it? Thank you!

Hello Alan Vista, I have tried to open the download on Mac by putting the file into the plugin folder as Lolo has suggested but it still remains unrecognised by Cubase 11 VST instruments . Is Chau Gongs VST2 or VST3 ? I think Cubase don't support VST2 anymore .?? Could this be the problem ? I am still hopeful to give the gongs a try. Thanks, Ross Marr

I am trying use this on musescore and it doesn't seem to be working. Musescore says that it can't recognize the file. Am I doing something wrong? What can I do to fix this?

I can't seem to get this working on Maschine, I've placed the .component & .VST in their respected folders yet it gives me an error. Any idea on how to fix the problem?

Works fine now. Please post this comment for others having problems, this was not straight-forward: You must copy the .component file into your Components folder (which lives inside the Plug-Ins folder - file path is: Mac HD>Library>Audio>Plug-Ins>Components). There are 2 Library folders on your Mac. It is very deceiving, they both have Plug-In folders. Only use the one accessible after you click on "Macintosh HD". After copying the file over it may still not appear. Close Logic & try restarting, it should scan the additional audio unit once you open Logic. To use the Plug-In, in Logic create a new Software Instrument track. Where it says "E-Piano", click on the arrows next to it. It will give you a drop-down menu where you can select "AU Instrument", Alan Vista will appear there. Additionally, if you Google "Logic Pro X not seeing Audio Unit plugins", the first link (at Time+Space) has a few tips you can try to get it to work. This is what helped me.

If you want to install the plugin successfully, then you have to copy and paste, the folder with the mse file and the dll file together, into your VSTPlugin folder .

I'm also having trouble getting the VST to show up after copying it inside my system VST folder alongside my other plugins. I tried keeping the .vst file inside its original extracted folder with the readme, as well as moving it out next to the other .vst files. I'm using MacOs Monterey and Ableton 11

It didn't seem to work on macOS Catalina but I solved it like this: click Cancel (not Move to Trash), open System Preferences, click on "Security & Privacy" and "Allow Anyway".
