This is a really good high-gain amp with nice cleaner toneage when the gain is lower. But there isn't much here which is just immediately reminiscent of 1st-wave 1976-77 punk. The Brit bands especially, you listen to "Damned Damned Damned", "Spiral Scratch", etc, much early ("real", *cough* *cough*) punk, the guitars are actually pretty clean or low-gain. But this isn't jump-out-at-you apparent, because the 1977 punk bands implemented everything very effectively, and nothing suffers from any sort of lack of power and edge to their music.
