DigiDrum Pro is a five part drum and percussion VST plugin suitable for most genres of digital music production.
It features an intuitive user interface packed with loads of sound editing parameters. The sound itself comes from a wave rom containing reproductions designed to resemble classic percussive instruments. These sounds are processed as you wish through the use of sound parameters and velocity controlled expression parmeters.

The basic sounds aren't great and are quite limited but fortunately you can load any samples you like and it works quite well. The midi triggering is a bit weird. It says the bass drum is assigned to C4 but it actually seems to be assigned to C2. Best used as a sampler for your own drum files.

Nice UI, hiding plenty of options for loading WAVs - though some (24-bit?) crash Reaper here. All the other drum VSTs I tried here used the same MIDI map; DDPro has its own map which I got bored with setting up because there are many other quick'n'dirty drum VSTs that don't need tweaking like DDPro does.

Simple and low on cpu with no hassles. Plays wave samples too! It really is great! I wish there was a 7 piece though, 5 is okay for most genres but 2 more slots would have made it the king.

Hi there. This little guy rocks, in my humble opinion. Have tried out
various other low cpu intensity drum samplers to get the most out of my old laptop and this vsti is the bees knees. Elektrostudio Ocet is also really really good.

Hi there, Does anyone know how I can make the sample play when it detects a vibration from a piezoelectric pickup on a kick? Basically, how do I trigger a kick drum? Im not using MIDI and, for the time being, cannot... Thanks

Does it plug into your computer? I sez, get a host program http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=piezoelectric+pickup+host that can handle your device, and just route it through that somehow.

A simple thing you could try is plugging in a second keyboard and rigging it underneath the kick pedal so that when you press it, it hits the space bar and then set up the space bar to register whatever sound you want. The other option, which is much better IMO, is to buy one of those electronic pad drum kits and hook it up to your computer with a midi-usb cable or whatever cable it came with.

Super sympa comme instru, malheureusement je ne peux pas sauvegarder de projet avec cet instru, plantage de cubase quand j'essai d'ouvrir le projet fait avec... Quel dommage, je suis un peu blasé.

Very simple sounds (all have the same electronic root-sound), but one of the few that actually works with ableton live and vista. Good for recreating old, electronic percussive sounds.
